Data Management and Analysis Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Working Student in Data Management and Analysis to join our team at Blume2000. As a key member of our Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning team, you will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and visualizing monitoring, evaluation, and financial data to support data-driven decision making.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Data management of monitoring, evaluation, and financial data
  • Quality control and validation of monitoring data
  • Data analysis using Excel and statistical software
  • Data visualization, including diagrams, tables, infographics, and maps
  • Feeding project impact models to evaluate the Social Return on Investment of our work
  • Maintenance of our financial and outreach dashboards in PowerBI
  • Support with administrative tasks in the team

You will be part of a dynamic and impact-driven team, working closely with our MEL Managers to ensure the success of our projects. If you are passionate about using data to create social impact and have a strong analytical mindset, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in data science, business intelligence, economics, business administration, or a related field, with at least 12 months remaining
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience in statistical software (e.g., R, SPSS, Stata), data base management (e.g., SQL), data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, and/or geospatial analysis (ArcGIS Online, QGIS) is a plus
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of German is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Structured and independent with high attention to detail and quality
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional, international team
  • Eager to learn and acquire new skills
  • Passionate about using data to create social impact
  • Reside in Hamburg or willing to visit our Hamburg office regularly
