About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriting Analyst to join our team at Euro London Appointments. As an Underwriting Analyst, you will work closely with our Underwriter to manage applications and renewals, assist with risk analysis, perform technical pricing, and provide general administrative support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-underwriting activities on submissions, including data analysis, risk assessment, and input into pricing models.
  • Support the renewal process for specific customers or portfolios, create insurance policies for approval.
  • Issue policies, certificates, and invoices to ensure accurate data entry and proper document storage.
  • Support the credit control process, monitor changes and adjustments to premiums, and perform necessary actions.
  • Communicate with customers and brokers to process requests, gather required information, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Manage and quality-control databases.
  • Prepare reports for Underwriters and Management, contribute to KPIs, and provide input for tariff and contract development.
  • Participate in customer or broker presentations and meetings, build relationships, and document discussions as needed.
  • Continuously develop technical knowledge through internal or external courses and workshops.
  • Support the General Manager and Underwriters on project-based tasks.
Requirements

Previous experience in the insurance industry.

  • Proficiency in German and English, with additional languages a plus.
  • Commercial education or university degree in finance.
  • Analytical, communicative, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs.
  • Resilient, goal-oriented, and independent work.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
