About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to lead our product development efforts at NIRx Medizintechnik GmbH. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our Neuroimaging systems and driving projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimize product development projects, focusing on plastic components, textiles, and fibre optics.
  • Oversee the entire design-to-manufacturing process, ensuring high-quality standards and efficient production.
  • Collaborate closely with external suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to translate technical requirements into high-quality products.
  • Utilize pragmatic development approaches and project management tools to ensure projects meet goals, timelines, and budgets.
  • Plan and support comprehensive performance and usability testing, ensuring detailed documentation and complete component specification.
  • Maintain and improve product and manufacturing specifications, managing design changes, addressing quality issues, and driving continuous innovation and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Design, or a related subject.
  • At least five years of experience in mechanical engineering, focusing on product development and project management.
  • Deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, manufacturing techniques, and materials, especially plastics.
  • Proficient in product development and project management methodologies, with hands-on experience in CAD software.
  • Strong proficiency in English, with excellent documentation and reporting skills.
  • First-hand experience in leadership or project management, especially in regulated industries.
