Digital Transformation Leader

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our E.ON Inhouse Consulting team as a Principal (m/f/d) with a focus on Digital Retail Transformation. As a key member of our Senior Team, you will play a crucial role in driving our energy transformation projects forward and supporting the digital retail transformation of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze complex issues facing the energy sector and develop strategic and operational solutions for our energy retail business.
  • Work closely with our ECON management team to lead and deliver our most important projects, ensuring excellent results and high customer satisfaction.
  • Develop long-term relationships with our customers across E.ON Group's business units and act as a trusted advisor to our top management team.
  • Steer and build internal expertise and knowledge to accelerate thought leadership topics that support our transformation.
  • Assume leadership of international teams, fostering the growth and development of our project managers and consultants.
  • Represent ECON in external matters and take on a central role in marketing, recruiting, and training.
Requirements
  • Excellent university degree (master's/diploma) in a relevant field, with additional qualifications such as a doctorate or MBA.
  • Fluent English in business, with the ability to present to board members; German-speaking is a benefit but not required.
  • Proven experience as a successful project manager in top management consulting or large-scale projects, with a focus on digital retail transformation.
  • First-hand experience in digital business models, digital sales processes, emerging technology, and market dynamics.
  • Deep understanding of challenges in design, operation, and performance of digital sales channels, with the ability to solve them.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to perform at their best.
