Project Overview
The project focuses on characterizing acid-sensing ion channels at the molecular, cellular, and organismal levels. Our goal is to understand the role of these channels in the nervous system and their potential involvement in neurological diseases.
Research Objectives
- To investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying acid-sensing ion channel function
- To develop novel electrophysiology and molecular biology techniques for studying these channels
- To explore the potential therapeutic applications of acid-sensing ion channel research
Requirements
- PhD or MD degree in a relevant field
- Strong interest in ion channel research and neuroscience
- Expertise in electrophysiology or cell biology/microscopy/Ca2+ and pH imaging
- Experience with protein trafficking/subcellular fractionation or homology modeling/molecular docking is an asset
- High motivation and enthusiasm for working in an international team
- Proficiency in spoken and written English (Level C2)
