Financial Accounting Specialist

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Financial Accounting Specialist to join our team at HORNBACH. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and formulation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with IFRS standards.
  • Assisting in the compilation of business performance reports while ensuring adherence to legal requirements.
  • Overseeing the company's publication obligations and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Documenting and accounting for the company's operational processes and value streams.
  • Facilitating the digital transformation and implementation of SAP S4 HANA within the organization.
  • Providing independent oversight of subsidiary entities concerning accounting matters.
  • Management of accounts and operational entries.
  • Creation and upkeep of internal accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in financial accounting.
  • Proven experience in accounting and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with SAP FI modules, proficiency in MS Office, and a good command of English.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and collaborative work approach.
