Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Networking Security Expert to join our team at SAP. As a key member of our Network Engineering Unit, you will play a critical role in driving the vision for Cloud Networking and ensuring the security and uptime of our customer-facing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and peer experts to create and execute a vision for emerging networking needs.
- Identify gaps between our operational architecture and operational needs, and develop plans to extend, modify, or change our architecture as needed.
- Perform due diligence to identify differences in Network Operations and Security & Compliance practices, and make recommendations for gap closing and transition roadmaps.
- Drive stability and high availability of customer-facing solutions, and increase profitability through architecture, design, and TCO improvements.
- Work with delivery experts to inform relevant standards for networking excellence across the delivery team boundaries.
Requirements
- Deep experience in business-critical customer-facing Cloud / Internet Network design and operations.
- Expert technical leadership experience in enterprise and large-scale operational environments.
- Expert-level experience in Infrastructure Security regulations, compliance, and audit (PCI DSS, KRITIS, ISO27001, etc.).
- Deep experience implementing and adapting network engineering security technologies and processes.
- Problem-solving experience across all functional layers with an emphasis on quick problem resolution.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with colleagues of all levels.
- Expert abilities in developing and documenting network designs and concepts.
- Ability to encourage healthy debate between team members and facilitate the decision-making process.
- BS or MS in a relevant field is preferred.
