Supply Chain Manager

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to oversee the receipt, processing, and storage of components and equipment for Army Prepositioned Stocks – 2 (APS-2) Modification Table of Organization and Equipment (MTOE). The ideal candidate will have 7 years of recent specialized experience in logistics, with prior military supply experience (Army MOS: 92Y/920A or equivalent) being a plus.
Key Responsibilities- Generate detailed reports from the Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-A) to ensure accurate inventory management and tracking.
- Correspond with other managers and/or the Supply Manager to provide detailed analysis for informed decision-making processes.
- Interact professionally with Amentum management, government officials, and VIPs to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Accurately instruct personnel on proper ordering, tracking, updating, and supply management of assets in support of APS-2 equipment.
- Ensure all APS-2 equipment has the proper COEI and BII, with inventories performed, items maintained correctly, and stored according to regulations.
- Ensure all inventories are scheduled, performed, reported, and filed according to regulations.
- Accurately report all assigned COEI and BII equipment in the relevant Logistics Information System (LIS).
- Conduct item research in GCSS-A and LIS to include frustrated items.
- Correct errors in paperwork and/or relevant LIS data and reports all errors promptly to the Supply Manager.
- Conduct inventories, ensure shortages are placed on a shortage annex, and perform quality checks on COEI and BII stored on vehicles or end items.
- Ensure containers are packed, inventoried, documented, and sealed.
- Understand and adhere to policies and procedures covering Technical Manual Data Exchange (TMDE) and Army Operations and Procedures (AOAP).
- Ensure all equipment requiring calibration is inventoried, dates of calibration recorded, and items needing calibration are properly sent to TMDE for calibration.
- Ensure all personnel understand and follow all company, government policies, procedures, and directives as directed.
- Effectively manage small teams of personnel in all aspects of the job, including pay, vacation, sick leave, and timecard management.
- Provide leadership ensuring COSIS teams are conducting actions necessary to ensure equipment meets Technical Manual standards and preservation to prevent deterioration while in storage.
- Ensure the surveillance of equipment and material are conducted and recorded according to all Technical Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures, and Army Regulations.
- 7 years of recent specialized experience in logistics.
- Prior military supply experience (Army MOS: 92Y/920A or equivalent) is a plus.
- 3+ years of leadership experience required.
- GCSS-A certification and/or Military AIT/industry 40hr course equivalent.
- Ability to provide information and reports, resolve issues, and recommend actions to improve delivery of services to customers.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills are required.
- Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills required.
- Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements.
- Must be able to meet and maintain all Logistics Information System (LIS) access requirements (Common Access Card).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to independently operate with minimal supervision.
- Strong knowledge of logistics and maintenance (at least 5 years of current experience), preferably in an Army Prepositioned Stocks environment.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Formal Training: GCSS-A certification and/or Military AIT/industry 40hr course equivalent.
- Typical office environment with no unusual hazards.
- May be required to deploy on missions on short notice at the direction of the PMO.
