This role is situated within the Student Services Advising Division and directly reports to the Director.
Estimated Salary Range:$45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities- Provides exceptional customer service to prospective and current students, and campus visitors at the front desk, serving the Advising Center, Career Center, and International Student Services. Offers detailed information and answers a variety of questions related to admissions, orientation, advising, and registration processes.
- Supports Advising staff with projects, trainings, and events. Maintains and assists with databases.
- Maintains the Academic Advising Center, ensuring a clean area and well-stocked with programs and brochures.
- Attends required staff meetings and trainings. Performs other duties as assigned.
- Graduation from a standard high school or equivalency diploma, and four years of progressively responsible secretarial and/or clerical experience, or a combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Windows operating system and Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Familiarity with basic research methods and techniques, including internet research.
- Skill in operating a personal computer for word processing and information gathering. Ability to perform a variety of complex, difficult, and multifaceted administrative support duties, requiring significant follow-up, follow-through, and attention to detail.
- Ability to draft and type a variety of correspondence, memoranda, reports, statistical analyses, and other materials. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with others.
- Ability to multi-task, especially with constant interruptions. Ability to prepare and maintain accurate and complete records and files. Ability to work both independently and cooperatively with others, as a member of a team.
