About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our team in Berlin. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the performance and scalability of our database.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing high-performance database architectures
  • Optimizing database performance and efficiency
  • Investigating performance issues and developing new workload strategies
  • Supporting users and developers with data-related technical issues
  • Collaborating with other teams to identify and implement database requirements

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a modern technology stack, including AWS and Google Cloud, and contribute to the development of our cloud-based carbon management platform.

About You

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled database professional with a strong background in database administration, performance engineering, and cloud infrastructure. Your ideal profile should include:

  • At least 4 years of professional experience in database administration or a similar role
  • Hands-on experience in database performance testing and optimization, and data security
  • Experience supporting applications on a SaaS Cloud Infrastructure solution
  • Extensive knowledge of relational database systems, such as PostgreSQL
  • Experience with cloud database services, such as Amazon RDS or Google BigQuery

You should be a detail-oriented and passionate individual with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic. You should also be a supportive team player with a willingness to learn and work independently as well as in a team environment.
