About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Database Engineer to join our Amazon Web Services Development Center Germany GmbH - R28 team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing large-scale cloud database systems that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop complex cloud database systems that are scalable, secure, and highly available.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our database systems meet the needs of our customers.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code that is efficient, reliable, and easy to maintain.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure that our code meets the highest standards of quality and security.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
  • Proficiency in C++.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Experience with large distributed system design and development.
  • Deep database expertise and/or system programming skills.
