Project Delivery Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Delivery Manager to join our Engineering team in Berlin. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing, planning, and ensuring the execution of technical projects with our Engineering and Product teams.
Your primary focus will be on managing project planning and development, leading collaboration among different parts of the business, and ensuring quality, on-time, and smooth implementation of projects, including API projects.
You will create detailed project plans, communicate their progress, and lead the engineering teams through the planning, execution, monitoring, and closing stages. Additionally, you will manage cross-functional teams, delegate tasks and responsibilities, and ensure all parties are aligned and resources are allocated according to project planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables between Product and Engineering teams in alignment with organizational goals
- Manage multiple, concurrent projects ensuring quality, on-time, and smooth implementation, including API projects
- Create detailed project plans, communicate their progress, and lead the engineering teams through the planning, execution, monitoring, and closing stages
- Manage cross-functional teams and delegate tasks and responsibilities, ensuring all parties are aligned and resources are allocated according to project planning
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in project delivery and execution
- Always improve and implement best practices, guiding team members, resolving issues and dependencies, and facilitating teamwork throughout the project
- Identify potential risks, create mitigation plans, and take corrective action when necessary
- Ensure adherence to compliance and quality standards throughout the project
- Lead project reporting and documentation best practices, monitor and calculate KPIs, and ensure documentation is maintained throughout the project
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding feature development and prepare regular status reports for senior management and internal stakeholders
- Help fellow team members with your experience and work closely with our Head of Engineering, Head of Product, and Engineering Leads supporting the execution of the product roadmap
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Project Delivery Manager with a strong background in managing technical projects with engineering and product teams. You should have at least 4 years of professional experience in a similar role and hold a recognized project management certification (e.g., PMP).
You should have impeccable project management skills, a strong understanding of project management methodologies, and proficiency in project management software (we use ClickUp). You should also have hands-on experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and keeping teams on track to meet tight deadlines.
Key Requirements:
- At least 4 years of professional experience as a Project Manager or Delivery Manager in a software company
- Impeccable project management skills and proven expertise in managing technical projects with engineering and product teams
- Recognized project management certification (e.g., PMP)
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and proficiency in project management software
- Hands-on experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and keeping teams on track to meet tight deadlines
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills combined with the ability to share your knowledge with the rest of the team
- Fluent English language skills
- Ability to work well across distributed and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic, eager to learn, and work independently as well as in a team environment
