**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel and Compliance Officer to join our team at Hyundai Motorsport GmbH. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing proactive and strategic legal advice to support our global motorsport activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide business-minded and strategic legal advice on operational topics, FIA regulations, and other matters related to our motorsport activities.
  • Draft and review contracts with external suppliers, customers, drivers, sponsors, and other third parties.
  • Resolve out-of-court and litigation disputes, including international cases.
  • Identify and manage legal risks for the organization in cooperation with other legal teams within Hyundai.
  • Instruct and manage external counsel as needed.
  • Implement policies and guidelines related to data privacy and compliance, and raise awareness among employees.
  • Act as a point of contact for the implementation of governance frameworks, guidelines, and policies.
  • Carry out and support internal investigations.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience as a practicing lawyer in a business environment or international law firm.
  • Preferably experience in motorsport and in-house legal operations dealing with FIA regulations.
  • Be a fully qualified lawyer specialized in commercial, intellectual property, corporate, and sporting law.
  • Fluent in English (writing, speaking, and reading).
  • Fluency in German is an advantage.
  • Interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels of the organization, motivate others, and demonstrate a service attitude and cultural sensitivity.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Loyalty, secrecy, integrity, and reliability.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and innovative approach to work.
