Equipment Data Governance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Equipment Data Governance Manager. As a key member of our Sales and Service organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of equipment-related data across our global operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with regional data stewards to establish and maintain data quality standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Ensure data practices comply with relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR and ISO 8000.
- Contribute to the development of data migration and management concepts, including data storage, archiving, retention, and disposal.
- Support the global data owner in defining data access and security, and act as a point of contact for alignments of regional data access requirements.
- Collect, develop, and harmonize new requirements for equipment-related data objects, and enhance, modify, and improve existing data models, quality rules, and governance rules.
- Document data-related processes, standards, and changes for future reference, including metadata management and ensuring transparency of data structure and usage.
- Contribute to data communities and future data-related projects on a global level.
- Identify and build subject matter expert networks for equipment-related data objects within business and IT teams.
- Provide 3rd-level data support and expertise to data key users for data requests and issues.
- Educate other employees about data governance, data management, and the importance of data compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as business informatics, industrial engineering, or business administration.
- Strong Microsoft Office suite skills.
- Understanding of data management principles, including data lifecycle, quality, security, and privacy.
- SAP system knowledge and practical experience, ideally R3 and S/4 HANA, especially with equipment and equipment-related data objects.
- Strong affinity for data and understanding of the connections between business processes and data flows across multiple IT systems and applications.
- Analytically minded and methodical approach in combination with business value and risk-based aspects.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders about data-related topics at management and operational levels.
- Able to understand, investigate, and present complex data and process topics.
- Able to efficiently prioritize work and provide timely updates to stakeholders on progress.
- Ability to deal with difficult situations and issues, as well as interdepartmental or regional challenges regarding data governance demands.
- Strong written and communication skills in English language, independent and autonomous.
