Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain the network architecture within Azure, ensuring optimal connectivity between the corporate network and cloud resources.
  • Integrate ExpressRoute connections, continuously optimize network performance, and implement advanced security measures to protect the Azure infrastructure according to the highest standards.
  • Participate in resolving network issues and leverage automation tools to create repeatable processes, enhancing the efficiency of operations.
  • Collaborate closely with other teams to ensure seamless integration of WAN solutions with other enterprise systems.
  • Monitor network traffic, continuously optimize the network, and plan capacity, leveraging advanced monitoring tools to identify bottlenecks in real-time and proactively enhance performance.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, preferably in a WAN environment.
  • Extensive experience with network operating systems from various vendors such as Junos-Evo, NXOS, IOS-XR, and network protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, VLANs, VxLAN/EVPN, and VRF.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • The ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP are a plus.
  • Ability to design and document innovative network architectures to meet requirements.
  • Willingness to participate in rotating 24x7 on-call duty.
  • Fluent German and English language skills.
