Universal/MCA Music Publishing (UMPG) acts as a bridge between music creators, composers, and lyricists, and music marketers, including record labels, management firms, advertising agencies, and film producers. Our goal is to discover, nurture, and support emerging talents while also retaining established authors for the publishing house, from individual songs to long-term project development.

The UMPG Inhouse Music Culture Agency X& focuses on culturally relevant brand communication and serves as a link between the branding world and the music industry. The primary focus is on developing music-driven campaigns and artist x brand partnerships that create cultural impacts in the real world. The agency integrates strategy, creation, production, and consulting under one roof and is responsible for award-winning campaigns.

**What You Will Learn:**

  • How to develop innovative music strategies and conceptualize and implement music-driven campaigns and culturally relevant brand activations.
  • Understanding the workflow of a music supervisor, including tailored music research and licensing rights clearance.
  • Techniques for maintaining existing client relationships and acquiring new clients.
  • How to plan and manage production budgets, including calculating and coordinating offers with clients and managing contracts and administrative tasks.

**Your Responsibilities:**

  • Assisting in the strategy development, conception, and execution of music-driven campaigns and culturally charged brand activations.
  • Contributing to the management of a well-established network of existing clients.
  • Participating in the acquisition and sales activities for UMPG and the X& full-service agency portfolio.
  • Supporting the development of long-term strategies for successful sync placements and projects.
  • Conducting creative research on catalog titles based on directorial interpretations, concepts, music briefs, and pitches.
  • Assisting in the execution of commissioned compositions, including briefing and coordinating suitable producers and artists.
  • Helping to plan and allocate production budgets and create and coordinate production timelines in the area of artist collaboration and commissioned compositions.
  • Supporting the preparation and coordination of calculations and offers with clients.
  • Assisting in the drafting and coordination of contracts and other administrative tasks.

**Requirements:**

  • Recent graduate in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, Media Studies, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of marketing strategies and advertising campaigns.
  • Fundamental knowledge in digital media and social media.
  • Experience in client collaboration, including the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to present complex ideas and concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in budgeting and offer preparation.
  • Proficient in common project management and communication tools.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in both German and English.
  • Basic knowledge of design software is a plus.
  • Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • High initiative and ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to new challenges and requirements.
