Senior Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our Customer Insights squad, part of the Customer Data Platform domain. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a key role in transforming consumer data into actionable insights and data-driven targeting, driving customer satisfaction, lifetime value, and profitability globally.
Key Responsibilities:- Build and operate end-to-end data science models to improve the customer journey through effective targeting and segmentation.
- Solve complex business problems by applying advanced data science techniques.
- Analyse and interpret data to gain insights and inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with the CDP platform teams to build, deploy, monitor, and operationalise production-grade data science models and services.
- Work with product specialists and user experience teams to understand business processes, identify data and solution requirements.
- Solid experience building statistical and machine learning models in a production-grade setting and at scale.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with productionalizing data science models and validating their online performance using testing methodologies.
- Experience with cloud-based computing platforms, such as GCP or AWS, and deep knowledge of MLOps best practices and tools.
- Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders from different backgrounds in an international environment.
- Previous experience leading complex data science projects and mentoring junior data scientists.

- Proven track record of scientific work in statistics, physics, economics, mathematics, data science, or similar.
- Hands-on experience collaborating with marketing teams, e.g., for incentive optimisation.
- Experience with reinforcement learning approaches, such as multi-armed bandit (MAB).
- Previous experience working in a cross-functional platform team/organisation.
- A hybrid working model with face-to-face connection and collaboration in our Berlin campus 2 days a week.
