About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Specialist to join our team at NielsenIQ. As a Research Specialist, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and implementing projects related to spatial data modeling, analysis, and interpretation. You will work closely with our clients to derive insights and present findings in reports and presentations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute projects involving spatial data modeling, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Lead and manage projects related to spatial and location-based questions, presenting results to clients.
  • Model and analyze spatial market data, including regional potential data, socio-demographic data, and purchasing power, at various resolutions.
  • Maintain and enhance our internal automation tools in R.
  • Collaborate with our sales team on presentations and provide content and methodological explanations to clients.
  • Participate in agile and interdisciplinary expert teams to develop our methodological capabilities and product portfolios.

Requirements

  • University degree in economics, social sciences, geography, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in geomarketing, data analysis, or consulting is desirable.
  • Knowledge of economic and business key figures.
  • Proficiency in R, including data processing and geodata handling.
  • Experience in maintaining R packages.
  • Ability to reflect, interpret, and present statistical results.
  • Excellent language skills in German and English.
