About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Research Specialist to join our team at NielsenIQ. As a Research Specialist, you will be responsible for conceiving and implementing projects related to spatial data modeling, analysis, and interpretation, as well as deriving conclusions for clients and presenting them in reports and presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceive and implement projects related to spatial data modeling, analysis, and interpretation, as well as deriving conclusions for clients and presenting them in reports and presentations.
- Lead and execute projects with spatial and location-based questions and present the results to clients.
- Model spatial market data (regional potential data, socio-demographic data, purchasing power, etc.) in various resolutions up to street segments or raster cells, nationally and internationally.
- Maintain and develop our internal automation tools in R.
- Collaborate with our sales team on presentations and support sales with content and explanation of methodology in client presentations.
- Active participation in agile and interdisciplinary expert teams to develop our methodological capabilities and our product and service portfolios.
Requirements
- University degree in economics, social sciences, geography, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in geomarketing, data analysis, or consulting is desirable.
- Knowledge of economic and business key figures.
- Knowledge of R (mandatory), processing geodata in R.
- Experience in maintaining R packages.
- Ability to reflect, interpret, and present statistical results.
- Very good language skills in German and English.
