Job Overview:

Optibus is seeking a skilled Product Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be instrumental in crafting intuitive and user-friendly products that simplify the complexities of public transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design end-to-end user experiences for our products, from early prototypes to final implementation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management and engineering teams to innovate and bring new ideas to life.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present complex design concepts to stakeholders, translating technical ideas into accessible and actionable designs.
  • Design Leadership: Advocate for UX best practices across the organisation, driving consistency and quality in all design outputs.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience designing a complex system/platform.
  • Excellent visual design skills with a sensitivity to user-system interaction.
  • Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, UX patterns, techniques, and technologies.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • High level of written and spoken English.

Portfolio:

A strong portfolio is critical for this role. Showcase your experience in UX and interaction design, particularly in complex systems where usability, simplicity and ease of use were a major concern.
