Job Title: Senior Project Engineering Manager

Job Summary:

Ferring Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineering Manager to join our Global Engineering Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and managing engineering, EHS, construction, commissioning, and qualification of projects within our Technical Operations Strategic portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects from engineering and design through to construction, commissioning, and qualification phases in collaboration with local and global engineering, contractors, and Ferring departments.
  • Provide engineering expertise and be the interface between Ferring Global Engineering, program lead, local engineering/maintenance, contractors, and other Ferring departments.
  • Manage all contacts with local authorities for permitting, environmental, waste disposal, construction zone, and facility cleaning.
  • Oversee on-site execution activities in close collaboration with the site project team, site management, Global Project Management Office (PMO), and applying LEAN principles and construction tools.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, biology, engineering, or business administration) is required, along with some formal project management training.
  • Approximately 10 years of project management experience, preferably within pharmaceuticals or life sciences, particularly in API manufacturing.
  • Strong project management skills encompassing principles, methodologies, and best practices, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and change control.
  • Ability to lead project teams, motivate team members, foster collaboration, and resolve conflicts to ensure a cohesive and productive working environment.
