Linux System Administrator

For our partner company in the healthcare sector, we are seeking a Linux System Administrator to join our team at GULP – experts united. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for administering and supporting internal Linux clients and servers in our in-house data center.

In this role, you will ensure the trouble-free operation of our systems, including the installation, configuration, and further development of our highly available internal Linux system landscape. You will also contribute to the planning, coordination, and implementation of IT projects, as well as provide direct communication with other IT teams to further develop our IT landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration and support of internal Linux clients and servers in the in-house data center
  • Installation, configuration, and further development of the highly available internal Linux system landscape
  • Ensuring trouble-free operation, including with the help of Ansible, Gitlab, and Docker
  • Contributing to the planning, coordination, and implementation of IT projects
  • Direct communication with other IT teams to further develop the IT landscape
  • Support for other systems in the areas of virtualization, backup, and storage

Requirements:

  • Experience in the administration of Linux server systems
  • Specialist knowledge in the areas of system administration and network administration
  • Knowledge in the areas of storage, VMware, and backup is desirable
  • Analytical and solution-oriented way of working
  • Very good written and spoken German
