Linux System Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Linux System Administrator to join our team at GULP – experts united. In this role, you will be responsible for administering and supporting our internal Linux clients and servers in the in-house data center, ensuring trouble-free operation.

Your tasks will include installation, configuration, and further development of our highly available internal Linux system landscape, leveraging tools such as Ansible, Gitlab, and Docker. You will also contribute to the planning, coordination, and implementation of IT projects, collaborating closely with other IT teams to further develop our IT landscape.

To succeed in this role, you will need experience in the administration of Linux server systems, specialist knowledge in system administration and network administration, and analytical and solution-oriented working skills. Additionally, knowledge in storage, VMware, and backup is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support internal Linux clients and servers
  • Installation, configuration, and further development of highly available internal Linux system landscape
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to further develop the IT landscape
  • Support other systems in virtualization, backup, and storage areas

Requirements:

  • Experience in Linux server system administration
  • Specialist knowledge in system administration and network administration
  • Analytical and solution-oriented working skills
  • Knowledge in storage, VMware, and backup desirable
