**Your Role**

We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for:

• Procurement of site-specific requirements, including capital expenditures, maintenance, repair, and operations, services, and materials.
• Analysis and good knowledge of the local procurement market for goods and services, including supplier base, technologies, competitive environment, market trends, and cost drivers.
• Identifying supply risk and executing risk mitigation strategies, driving supplier development, and initiating supplier quality improvements.
• Supplier management, including developing and maintaining an effective supplier assessment program.
• Achieving cost reductions and avoidances, creating cash flow improvements, and lead time reductions.
• Establishing key supplier agreements, delivering innovative improvements, and maintaining supplier relationships.
• Participation in or lead of regional and global procurement projects.
• Collaboration with local and global teams and suppliers to support the development and implementation of strategies.
• Optimization of total costs of the German sites, including the development and implementation of cost-saving programs.
• Development, implementation, and maintenance of procurement plans and best practices.
• Independently negotiating and drafting individual and framework contracts and awarding them.
• Identifying and assessing risks and benefits of procurement decisions and clearly presenting proposals to mitigate risks.
• Contributing to the annual budget process by providing reliable cost exclusions and realistic forecasts.

**Your Profile**

We are looking for a candidate with:

• Successfully completed studies or alternatively commercial vocational training and many years of relevant experience in strategic purchasing.
• Many years of professional experience in purchasing, ideally in an internationally operating production company.
• Very good experience in supplier and contract management.
• Good knowledge of SAP (MM) and MS Office.
• Very good knowledge of German and English.
• Team player who enjoys working with direct and indirect colleagues.
• Experience in cross-functional projects.
• Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented approach to work.
• Very good negotiation and communication skills at all levels.
