Key Responsibilities

As the Cloud Security Engineering Lead, you will collaborate with our clients to strengthen their cloud security frameworks. Your role will encompass providing expert guidance, crafting security strategies, and facilitating the implementation of cloud security solutions to safeguard their data, applications, and infrastructure within cloud ecosystems. This position demands a blend of technical proficiency, analytical thinking, and leadership capabilities.

Your Role Includes:

  • Evaluating clients' cloud infrastructures and security protocols, pinpointing vulnerabilities and opportunities for enhancement;
  • Designing and proposing cloud security architectures and strategies customized to meet clients' business objectives and compliance mandates;
  • Advising clients on the selection and deployment of suitable cloud security technologies and tools, including IAM, encryption, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, SIEM/SOAR, and XDR systems;
  • Supporting the integration of security practices into clients' DevOps workflows and promoting a security-first culture;
  • Providing incident response assistance and expert counsel during security breaches or other cybersecurity incidents in the cloud;
  • Keeping abreast of emerging cloud security threats, technologies, and best practices;
  • Preparing and delivering reports and presentations to clients regarding their cloud security status and recommending improvements;
  • Engaging with the broader cloud security community to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the evolving threat landscape.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience;
  • Relevant professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent;
  • Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in cloud security management, particularly with Azure and Microsoft 365; AWS knowledge is advantageous;
  • In-depth understanding of cloud architecture and cloud-native security principles;
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory frameworks related to cloud security, including GDPR, NIS2, and DORA;
  • Experience with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS benchmarks;
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Fluency in both German and English;
  • Eligibility for NATO clearance.
