Job Description

At DuPont, we are committed to delivering innovative solutions that make a real difference in people's lives. As an Application Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and commercializing our cutting-edge lubrication technologies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drive new application development, focusing on Anti-Friction Coatings technology, and collaborate closely with customers, distributors, and cross-functional global teams.
  • Work with laboratory technicians and external laboratories to plan, generate, and analyze technical data to support customer and market needs.
  • Support commercialization projects through the full stage-gate process and accelerate product launches in cooperation with Sales and Marketing.
  • Develop and deliver technical trainings based on customer and channel partner needs.
  • Deliver high-quality technical reports and submit patent disclosures if applicable.
  • Champion global collaboration to ensure key technical development learnings are shared mutually between regions.
  • Represent MOLYKOTE technologies at industry conferences, including paper talks and publications.
  • Prepare and contribute to the creation of product literature, sales tools, and case stories.
  • Be a Safety Champion in all areas, demonstrating and promoting Safety behavior during daily work.

Qualification:

  • Business fluency in English and German.
  • Degree (PhD or M.Sc.) in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, with a focus on Tribology and/or Coating technology highly desired.
  • Work experience in the industry, with proven examples in customer-facing technical roles.
  • Experience in coatings/paints, surface treatment, tribology, and/or lubricants is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Travel up to 25% of time within the EMEA region, mainly.
