Translation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Translation Specialist to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a Translation Specialist, you will be responsible for translating technical and administrative material related to Facilities Engineering operations from German into English and vice versa.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in translation, excellent language skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for performing subject matter research and analysis to ensure accurate translations, as well as providing interpretation services between German and English speaking parties during meetings.
Additional responsibilities include processing requests for installation access, reviewing documents for program compliance, and preparing and processing requests for Common Access Cards. You will also be responsible for maintaining the calendar for the Chief Engineering, serving as a Training Coordinator, and disseminating training documents.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of office automation equipment and be able to utilize it to create documents, reports, and charts. You will also be responsible for maintaining and operating an archive of contractual and project documentation files, as well as coordinating actions with various divisions.
**Requirements:**
- 2 years of creditable experience as a translator or in a related field
- Excellent language skills in English and German (C2 level required)
- Office automation skills required
- Driver's license class B is desired
