Environmental Operations Manager

Carnival Maritime GmbH, a part of Carnival Corporation and plc, is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Analysis and Operations Manager to join our team in Hamburg. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in defining and executing our decarbonization strategy and associated technological challenges.
Your Responsibilities- Develop and optimize waste disposal plans to increase efficiencies across our fleet.
- Collaborate with vessel crews and shore-side departments to optimize environmental efficiency, manage costs, and achieve significant savings through strategic measures and financial forecasting.
- Develop the environmental port cost plan and forecast for the Costa and AIDA fleet by cooperating closely with the financial departments.
- Identify saving potential and initiate necessary measures for its achievement, including identification and application for all relevant environmental discounts and exemptions.
- Actively manage and monitor environmental port costs and lead the monthly variance analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or Business Administration, or equivalent. Master's degree is a plus.
- Specialization in environmental management systems and several years of environmental management experience, preferably within the maritime industry.
- Previous professional experience in finance and controlling or any related field, with experience in developing financial reports and presentations.
- Experience in ship operation/management or cruise ship technology would be advantageous.
- Very good English language skills, with Italian and/or German as an added benefit.
- Deep knowledge of Office 365 system, with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and knowledge of Hyperion, QlikView, and Power BI desirable.
- Previous experience in using MXP is a plus.
- Service-oriented with very good communication skills.
- At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role.
- 30 days of holidays per year.
