About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced International Affairs Advisor to join our team at GUS Germany GmbH. As an International Affairs Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting international students and staff, providing guidance on study abroad programs, and coordinating with various teams to ensure a seamless experience for our global community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise students on study abroad programs, including information events, workshops, and one-on-one meetings
  • Collaborate with the International Affairs Team to coordinate with teaching, administrative, and service units
  • Provide support for international students, including residence permits, registration, and accommodation
  • Offer information and advice to new students and support them during the application process
  • Oversee and coordinate new student orientation under the supervision of the International Affairs Senior
  • Coordinate and administer summer schools, language courses, and workshops for international student groups
  • Issue and follow up on administrative documents and verify and process applications
  • Support International Affairs operations and provide excellent customer service
Requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Excellent written and spoken language skills in German and English
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of DAAD funding programs and residence law is an asset
  • Completed vocational training or university degree or relevant practical experience in higher education
