Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Scheduling and Operations Manager to join our team at RWE Supply & Trading GmbH. As a key member of our Commercial Asset Optimization team, you will be responsible for extracting maximum value from our conventional and renewable power producing asset fleet in Continental Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute RWEST's participation in European daily spot auctions at various exchanges
  • Participate in power market auctions of cross-border transport capacities
  • Prepare and submit electricity schedules to grid and transmission system operators within regulatory frameworks
  • Manage and optimize commodity logistics (transport/delivery)
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and country-specific requirements
  • Contribute to the development of new products and services for third-party customers
  • Support the integration of Renewables assets into our CAO process/system landscape and develop new markets
  • Collaborate with Embedded-IT teams to develop and improve the IT environment

Requirements

  • Completed degree in engineering, business administration, or economics, with relevant further qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of power trading, cross-border trading, balancing group management, and commodity scheduling
  • Expertise in the European energy market design and regulatory market communication rules
  • Strong communication and team working skills, with a high degree of personal commitment and motivation
  • Proven experience working independently, with a hands-on mentality and ability to work under pressure
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and German
  • Experience using standard Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Acceptance of flexible working time, including weekends and statutory holidays

Desirable Skills

  • Programming capabilities (SQL, C#, Python, R, etc.)
