About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Supplier Engineer to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for leading Lean Management Initiatives with our Suppliers to drive sustainable improvements and cost savings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and lead Lean Management Initiatives with Suppliers to achieve cost savings and quality improvements.
  • Lead continuous improvement programs of Suppliers' performance, striving for 'zero defects'.
  • Support the Supplier Selection Process and Supplier/Parts Qualification to Production.
  • Support the identification and implementation of corrective and preventive actions for major impacting non-Conformities in products and services at Suppliers.
  • Identify existing and/or potential opportunities for improvements in Quality & Costs.
  • Monitor Supplier Performance KPIs, analyze supplier manufacturing processes, quality records, complaints, FMEAs, and other sources of data to establish Initiatives at Suppliers.
  • Work closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D to assure continuous improvement of product, services, and processes to meet quality & cost requirements and regulatory compliance at the Suppliers.
  • Perform supplier manufacturing process audits to identify improvement opportunities and ensure implementation of improvement actions.
  • Provide technical Supplier Evaluations for Supplier selection according to Category and/or Sourcing Strategy Initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise internally and to Suppliers regarding manufacturing processes, methods, techniques, and capabilities.

Requirements:

  • University degree, preferably in Mechanical/Chemicals/Electronics or Medical Engineering.
  • Six Sigma certification at least Green Belt.
  • Several (min 5) years of experience in leading Supplier Development Programs.
  • Several (min 5) years of experience in Lean Management and Quality Management.
  • Proved experience in performing Supplier Audits.
  • Good knowledge of risk analysis techniques on products and processes (DFMEA, PFMEA).
  • Proved methods of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Autonomy.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Ability to create and communicate a clear strategy/plan.
  • Ability to take decisions in difficult situations.
  • Problem-solving skills.
