**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly experienced Procurement Team Lead to join our global supply chain team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for leading a team of 5 professionals in purchasing finished products across various industry segments.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Operational Leadership**
- Oversee material planning, purchasing prices, and inventory management to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive business growth and improvement.
- Regularly review and manage purchasing forecasts to ensure accurate demand planning.
- Develop and implement material planning and procurement strategies across various product categories to drive cost savings and efficiency.
- Manage and execute purchasing price controls to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Perform day-to-day purchasing activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
- **Team Leadership**
- Provide technical leadership and manage the purchasing team to drive business growth and improvement.
- Enhance and refine the key performance indicator system to ensure accurate measurement of team performance.
- Drive continuous improvement of operational processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Train and mentor team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Participate in personnel selection and conduct employee interviews to ensure the best fit for the team.
**Requirements**
- **Technical Requirements**
- A degree in purchasing, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Proven experience in managing a purchasing department, with a strong track record of success.
- Expertise in developing and implementing effective procurement strategies, policies, and processes.
- Proficient in SAP (SD, MM, MW) and MS Office applications.
- Fluent in both German and English, with proficiency in Chinese being a plus but not essential.
