Master Thesis Researcher

As a researcher at Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, you will contribute to the development of sustainable energy solutions by investigating the properties of mesoporous carbon materials. Your work will focus on testing known and alternative material systems to compare their functionality and adapt the products to specific battery types.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct literature research on the basics and relevant material systems
  • Produce mesoporous carbon materials from different material systems
  • Identify and balance products and by-products
  • Prepare and classify characterization results, particularly from N2 isotherms
  • Perform initial electrochemical characterizations as needed

Requirements:

  • Studies in natural sciences or engineering (chemistry, mechanical engineering, environmental/process engineering or similar)
  • Practical experience in laboratory work or conducting experiments on technical systems
  • Good English skills
  • Independent and conscientious scientific work
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
