Sustainability Intern in Carbon Management

ABOUT THE ROLE

We focus on identifying risks, opportunities, and analyzing trends related to sustainability and technology, collaborating closely with our operational divisions to implement effective strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Corporate Sustainability division is dedicated to embedding sustainability into BASF's core operations and strategic frameworks. We are currently seeking motivated working students to support our Carbon Steering Group, with a focus on sustainability for a duration of 4-6 months.

  • You will assist in CO2 accounting tasks, including the calculation and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions at both product and corporate levels.
  • Collaborating with our team, you will help integrate sustainability considerations into our global strategies and decision-making processes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing studies in chemistry, natural sciences, or a related field.
  • A strong interest in corporate strategy and sustainability topics, with some practical experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of lifecycle assessment is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and a strong affinity for IT.
  • Excellent command of both German and English.
  • Ability to work independently with strong strategic thinking skills.
