Job Title: Tech Lead - Software Engineering Expert

A Tech Lead bridges the gap between product plans and development. They must be able to understand business needs, manage a team of developers, and collaborate with product leads. An important aspect is defining ETAs and plans with product leads to achieve goals quickly. The Tech Lead is responsible for balancing fast-paced development with stable, reliable, and long-lasting software systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical mentorship: Provide technical guidance to the Backend Development team, including tool usage and best practices.
  • Code quality: Ensure high-quality code from the team through code reviews and enforcing coding standards.
  • Design and Architecture: Ensure software and infrastructure meet quality, security, and modifiability requirements.
  • Hands-on Development: Spend 20-30% of time developing features and setting up infrastructure.
  • Collaboration: Work with product leads and principal engineers to ensure technical design aligns with product requirements.
  • Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation within the team, exploring new tools and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Strong background in Software Engineering with over 8 years of experience developing high-quality software products.
  • Domain Knowledge: Knowledge of scalable microservice backend development in Go, cloud infrastructure, and container orchestration platforms.
  • Database Skills: Outstanding knowledge of different databases and database approaches.
  • Education: Completed apprenticeship or university degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Soft Skills: Team player, solution-oriented, and motivated developer with excellent communication skills.
