Business Strategy and M&A Intern

Your Area of Work

As a member of the Market Data + Services – Business Strategy and M&A department, you will play a key role in further developing the strategy for the data business of Deutsche Börse Group. This includes the development of market research and strategic ideas, support of strategic projects (organic and M&A) as well as the area financial analysis.

Your Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct market and competitor research to support the development of strategic growth options for the data business of Deutsche Börse Group.
  2. Support strategic projects with strategic and financial analyses.
  3. Participate in controlling activities, including budget planning, monthly/quarterly closings, financial analysis, and forecasts. This will also provide an opportunity to deepen your SAP skills.
  4. Assist in the development of decision documents/presentations for senior management of Deutsche Börse Group.
Your Profile:
  1. You are enrolled at a state-recognized university as a regular student during the entire period of activity or hold a degree that is not older than 6 months, and have completed at least two semesters with classes covering management and finance.
  2. You have already gained first practical experience in the area of strategy, corporate finance, or controlling.
  3. You are highly motivated and committed with very good analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.
  4. You have very good skills in Microsoft Office Applications (Powerpoint, Excel, Word) and ideally also experience with SAP/Controlling is a plus.
  5. You are fluent in written and spoken English. German language skills are a plus.
