Strategic Internship Opportunity in Group Strategy and M&A

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our Group Strategy and M&A teams. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the activities of these teams and contribute to the development of strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of decision documents for the Executive Board of Deutsche Börse Group
- Analyze competitor activities and key market trends to support the teams in managing the group-wide strategy process and executing strategic projects
- Support the financial modeling and valuation of potential deal opportunities using value and multiple-based valuation methods
- Participate in ongoing transactions, analyze and evaluate potential investment targets, and assist in the preparation of investment proposals/presentations for DBAG's management
- Support portfolio management and evaluate and maintain the venture pipeline and deal flow database as well as all operational documentation
Requirements:
- Enrolled at a state-recognized university for the entire duration of the internship and have completed at least four semesters
- Very good grades, motivated, and curious about the topics of the three departments
- Ideal candidates have already gained some practical experience in corporate finance/M&A, strategy development, or in the venture/start-up sector
- Interest in and basic knowledge of financial analysis and company valuation
- Fluent in written and spoken English and German (at least B2)
