Your contribution:
As a Commodity Buyer (M/F/d) you will report to the Deputy Head of Procurement EMEA and support the Procurement organization’s strategy.

In this role you will be responsible for the development of sourcing strategies, translate strategy into objectives/action plans and drive their execution. Furthermore, you will manage the processes and spend associated for these commodities.

The role will be based in our Clarios EMEA headquarters office in Hannover, Germany.

Responsibilities: What you will do
- You will develop, support, and implement strategy for global/regional commodities.
- You will drive strategic sourcing activities within functional area(s) of expertise, including but not limited to spend analysis (benchmarking, supply market analysis, supplier analysis, RFI/RFP building, negotiations, cost break down and/or should-cost analysis, supplier profitability analysis, contracting, building business cases).
- You will be involved in supplier selection and proper negotiation of contracts. This will include also the evaluation of supplier quotations utilizing appropriate negotiation and procurement analysis techniques.
- You will also drive procurement related cross-functional and cross-regional interaction and alignments
- With suppliers, you will develop and monitor production capacity strategy.
- Overall, you will be responsible for the Supplier Development with focus on improving Quality, Productivity, Conversion Cost and Delivery Time.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Who we look for
- Degree with an economic or technical focus
- Several years of work experiences in a procurement function
- Knowledge of purchasing practices, applicable laws and regulations
- Proficient negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
- Very good communications skills
- Very good MS Office skills
- Business fluent in English and German, other European languages are a plus
