Job Overview

Flink is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance Operations to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and finance operations of our German business, ensuring compliance with German regulations, and driving continuous improvements in our finance and accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial analysis, including P&L and BS key items review and budget tracking.
    • Develop and implement financial plans and forecasts to support business growth and strategic objectives.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure compliance with German accounting and financial regulations, including HGB.
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the integrity of our financial systems and processes.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Lead and mentor a team of 2 people, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Interface with other departments, providing financial expertise and advice to support business decisions.
    • Collaborate with the controlling team and CFO to develop and implement financial strategies.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • At least 5 years of working experience in finance or accounting, with a strong background in financial planning and analysis.
  • Education
    • Strong technical finance or accounting knowledge, with a degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Skills
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and develop insights.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
    • Very good German and English language skills, with an appreciative communication style.
