Financial Systems Software Engineer, Prime Video

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Prime Video Financial Systems team at Amazon Development Center Germany GmbH. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in accelerating Prime Video's growth by building highly automated, scalable finance systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and deploy high-performance, scalable finance systems to support our expanding global video business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design technical solutions, and implement software features.
- Work in an agile environment, leveraging modern software development practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Develop and maintain high-quality software, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Communicate effectively with users and other technical teams to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.

Requirements- Experience in professional software development, with a focus on designing or architecting new and existing systems.
- Experience programming with modern languages such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Experience with cloud computing, large-scale, and high-availability distributed architecture.
- Experience with microservice architecture and influencing software engineering best practices within a team.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Experience with JavaScript, Ruby, Perl, Python, and other modern programming languages.
- Experience with algorithms, data structures, efficiency, concurrency, performance optimization, and OS fundamentals.
