About the Role

Oracle is seeking highly skilled Data Centre Technicians, Senior Data Centre Technicians/Leads and Data Centre Managers to join our team in Frankfurt, Germany.

Job Summary

We are looking for individuals who can troubleshoot and solve complex infrastructure issues, understand system architecture and design, and provide technical solutions to internal customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and the data centre environment
  • Troubleshoot and solve complex infrastructure issues
  • Provide technical solutions to internal customers
  • Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware and software
  • Manage escalated support cases and lead internal technical resources and/or 3rd party vendors until resolution
  • Assist with server operating system and application upgrades, bug fixes, and patching
  • Work on standardization projects for both hardware and software under the Oracle technology stack

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in IT Infrastructure support and server administration in a mid-sized environment
  • Strong leadership experience and ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 shift rotation system

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a mission-critical operations environment
  • Thorough understanding of data center design, including electrical and cooling plant and operation thereof
  • Strong structured cabling skills on fiber and copper
  • Experience with enterprise administrative scripting using major scripting languages
