About the Role

As an Operations Manager with Amazon Logistik Westfalenhuette GmbH - E74, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence across our EU AMXL service. This key position is responsible for leading a team of Area Managers and creating operational plans to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of Area Managers to drive operational performance
  • Lead operational teams on a shift, addressing issues and positively impacting site performance
  • Analyse shift performance against business objectives and implement actions to improve operational excellence
  • Collaborate with support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security
  • Design and deliver initiatives to enhance operational performance across sites
A Day in the Life

You will lead shifts at one of our operational sites, serving as a key link between various teams, including finance, safety, and operations integration. Your day will involve meetings with different business areas, deep dives into performance and risk metrics, and preparing for varying levels of demand. You will also mentor and coach your team, providing leadership and support to help them excel in their roles.

About the Team

Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) focuses on heavy items like furniture and large home appliances. Our team manages the entire service, from supply chain fulfilment to delivery and returns, with a focus on customer care. We deliver large items, unpack, assemble, and install them, and take away old items where needed. With a focus on safety, productivity, and innovation, we're changing the way customers buy and receive large goods for the better.

Requirements
  • A degree
  • Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and intermediate proficiency in the local language
  • Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
  • Relevant experience in key areas of production and supply chains

Preferred qualifications include experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques, as well as experience working with the MS Office suite in a professional environment.
