Procurement Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Wintershall Dea. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for sourcing and contracting goods and services for our subsurface operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute activities defined in relevant category strategies, including agreeing final specifications and setting commercial conditions.
- Manage tender processes, evaluate proposals, and conduct final negotiations up to contract award.
- Prepare standard contract templates for respective categories with low to medium impact.
- Establish project procurement strategy and coordinate between project and procurement organization.
- Support smooth project organization as first point of contact and search solutions for supply chain relevant project issues.
- Manage non-conformities and ensure contract performance and adherence to contractual conditions.
- Handle disputes and claims.
Requirements
- Relevant vocational education or bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study (economics, procurement/supply chain, engineering).
- At least 2 years' experience in operational/strategic buyer position (procurement/supply chain) or alternative profound sourcing and contract management experience.
- Proactive team player with solution-oriented, self-motivated, and good communicating and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and systematic way of working.
- Knowledge/understanding of the sub-surface markets & categories incl. rig services, decommissioning services, and OCTG is an advantage.
- Cross-cultural awareness (Collaboration with stakeholders across different BUs).
- Good negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English & German (oral and written).
- High willingness to travel.
- Committed to company HSE policy and principles, acting responsibly and in accordance with HSE and quality requirements.
