Cloud Platform Business Services Developer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cloud Platform Business Services Developer to join our team at SAP. As a key member of our Agile team, you will be responsible for building full-stack products, from pixel-perfect UIs to highly available backend systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based software solutions using Java and other relevant technologies.
- Take end-to-end ownership of features from design and development through to deployment, ensuring high-quality results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs.
- Develop and execute test cases, reviews of specifications, design reviews, and code reviews to ensure the highest level of quality.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
Requirements
- University degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of experience in cloud software development.
- Successful track record in agile cloud software development and an affinity for open-source software.
- Professional programming experience in Java; programming experience in one or more of the following languages is beneficial: Scala, Python, JavaScript, Typescript, or Go.
- Skills in at least one backend framework such as Spring Boot (preferred) or NodeJS.
- Proven experience with web-based API practices like REST, OpenAPI Specification, GraphQL, OData, JSON.
- Fluent English language skills written and verbal, German language skills are beneficial.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in operating a cloud service as well as cloud delivery tools and processes.
- CNCF technology knowledge like Kubernetes, Docker, HELM.
- Solid frontend development skills with JavaScript (ES6), HTML5, and SAP UI5, React, or Angular.
