Senior SAP Finance Manager for International Markets

Brenntag, a world market leader in the chemical distribution industry and DAX listed company, seeks an experienced Senior SAP Finance Manager to join their team in Essen. This exciting opportunity will challenge your skills and expertise in managing global SAP platforms, production support, program management, and maintenance.
Job DescriptionYour Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead the setup and centralization of production support, including L2/3 and ongoing maintenance of SAP platforms, ensuring operational stability across the globe.
- Manage non-SAP applications that are part of the financial supply chain process.
- Partner with internal audit and security teams on compliance tasks, developing and documenting SAP configuration and implementation.
- Communicate effectively across organization levels, presenting technical deliveries and business impacts to IT and business leadership teams.
- Manage SAP development budget and costs within the IT team.
- Cultivate a positive and collaborative culture among the team based on respect and trust.
- Demonstrate proven experience in delivering successful programs, with a strong sense of ownership and a passion for defining and driving improvement and development programs.
What We're Looking For:
- A Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations, Behavioral Science, or related fields.
- 10+ years of professional experience, with minimum 5 years in a management position in an international environment and minimum 5 years in managing SAP deployment.
- A strategic thinker who is business-centric and customer-focused, able to translate business requirements into technology solutions.
- A clear thinker who can piece together system and data flows in SAP Finance, identifying business/user impacts, data flow, and process flow, and mitigating risks and resourcing needs.
- Proven success leading and delivering large SAP transformation programs.
- Strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong cross-cultural experience and awareness.
- Strong written and spoken English skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Good influencing and communication skills.
- Strong operation and execution track-records.
- A self-starter, proactive, and collaborative individual.
- Experience in agile mythologies and ITIL-service operations.
- Experience in people management, inspiring and motivating team members.
- SAP S/4 HANA experience is preferred.
