Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Energy Markets Strategist - Global Commodities Expert to join our team in Essen. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial mindset, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of delivering significant results in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver in-depth analysis of global commodity markets to provide insights on future price movements and opportunities.
- Closely collaborate with Trading & Origination and Portfolio functions to develop and implement commercial strategies.
- Provide advanced market analysis for assets and structured transactions through comprehensive scenario analysis.
- Analyze energy market data to identify high-level trading opportunities and manage E.ON's group portfolio through strategic hedging decisions.
- Take a leading role in developing sophisticated trading models and strategies.
- Successful completion of a university degree or comparable qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the European energy markets in a commercial, analytical, or consulting role, including at least 3 years in a senior position.
- Strong commercial mindset with a strategic and analytical approach.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to work independently and take on significant responsibility.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
The salary for this position is approximately €80,000 - €110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, we offer a range of benefits, including flexible working hours, regular training programs, and private car leasing.
