Operational Purchaser

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Purchaser to join our Procurement & Supplier Management team at our headquarters in Hannover, Germany.
Key Responsibilities:- Order Management: You will be the central interface to our suppliers, responsible for the entire order process from receiving requests to placing and tracking orders until goods are received.
- Contract Negotiations: In consultation with strategic purchasing, you will play an active part in contract and price negotiations to secure competitive conditions for Hannover Re.
- Supplier Relationship Management: You will select potential new suppliers and continuously expand cooperation.
- Cost Optimization: You will identify opportunities for cost and process optimization.
- Invoice Coordination: You will examine incoming invoices and approve them in conformity with our compliance policies.
- Complaint Management: In the event of deficiencies, quality problems, or other discrepancies with the delivery, you will be responsible for coordination between the consumer and the vendor.
- Completed commercial or technical vocational training, a degree in Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in operational purchasing of services, global procurement management, and/or supplier relationship management.
- In-depth knowledge of purchasing and service management tools.
- Proficient user skills in German and English combined with negotiating skills.
- Strong analytical abilities, the will to move things forward, and enthusiasm to make the best decision for our company.
- Flexibility: A hybrid work model with flexible working hours and 30 days of annual leave.
- Work Abroad: Up to 20 days a year within the EU Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland.
