Operational Purchaser

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Purchaser to join our Procurement & Supplier Management team at our headquarters in Hannover, Germany.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the entire order process, from receiving requests to placing and tracking orders until goods are received.
- Negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers to secure competitive conditions for Hannover Re.
- Select and develop new suppliers, expanding cooperation and optimizing costs.
- Identify opportunities for cost and process optimization.
- Examine and approve incoming invoices in accordance with compliance policies.
- Coordinate and resolve issues with deliveries, documenting and taking countermeasures.
- Completed commercial or technical vocational training, a degree in Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in operational purchasing, global procurement management, and/or supplier relationship management.
- In-depth knowledge of purchasing and service management tools.
- Proficient user skills in German and English, combined with negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical abilities, a willingness to drive progress, and enthusiasm for making the best decisions for our company.
- Flexibility: A hybrid work model with flexible working hours and 30 days of annual leave.
- Work Abroad: Up to 20 days a year within the EU Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland.
