Job Mission

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at InterEx Group. As a key member of our computing platform, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and stability of our distributed data and compute platform infrastructure.

Your mission will be to troubleshoot short-term problems and develop structural improvements to our infrastructure. You will work closely with our application developers to understand the infrastructure, cluster, and system, and share your knowledge with other teams to prevent repetitive help requests.

Responsibilities
  • Create awareness in other teams about methods and procedures to prevent repetitive help requests.
  • Help application developers understand the infrastructure, cluster, and system.
  • Translate customer ecosystem needs to engineering deliverables.
  • Find and fix broken pieces of the puzzle at the system and cluster level.
  • Improve the functionality and reliability of our platform.
  • Contribute to building a product that meets our standards of quality.
  • Resolve bugs in a sustaining way and implement regression tests.
  • Support feature and service requests from the field.
  • Suggest improvements to our technical solutions and way of working.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of distributed computing systems and practical experience.
  • Experience with build and release infrastructure, Maven, Nexus, Bamboo, and GitHub.
  • Familiarity with at least one scripting language, such as Python.
  • Experience with Ansible and Linux.
