Job Mission

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at InterEx Group. As a key member of our computing platform, you will be responsible for troubleshooting short-term problems and translating them into structural improvements on our distributed data and compute platform infrastructure.

Our client is one of the world's leading manufacturers of semiconductor chip-making equipment, and we are part of the computing platform that is one of the main pillars under the production of the next-generation microchips of Apple, Samsung, and many others.

Responsibilities:
  • Create awareness in other teams about methods and procedures to prevent repetitive help requests.
  • Help application developers understand the infrastructure, cluster, and system.
  • Share knowledge and mindset with other teams (dev/infra engineers).
  • Cross-functional collaboration to share knowledge between infra engineers.
  • Contribute to building VCP as a Product that meets our standards of quality.
  • Improve the stability and reliability of VCP through automated testing and automation.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction and product reliability.
  • Translate customer ecosystem needs into engineering deliverables.
  • Find and resolve system/cluster-level issues.
  • Improve system resilience through bug-fixing and beyond.
  • Resolve bugs in a sustaining way, including implementing regression tests and designing structural fixes.
  • Ambassador for predictable component lifecycle management.
  • Technical roadmap maintenance (App lifecycle management).
  • Support feature and service requests from the field.
  • Suggest improvements to our technical solutions and way of working, and implement them in alignment with your team and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Experience with DC/OS.
  • Experience with new technology introduction at zero downtime, including data migration.
  • Familiarity with automatic testing and qualification, preferably as part of a CI/CD pipeline.
  • Affinity for digging deep into networking issues.
  • Ability to work remotely outside regular office hours when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of distributed computing systems, with practical experience.
  • Experience with build and release infrastructure, Maven, Nexus, Bamboo, and GitHub.
  • Familiarity with at least one scripting language (Python).
  • Experience with Ansible.
  • Linux expertise.
